Meet the team

Graham is very well known in the Nanny Tax industry for his extensive knowledge and pro active approach. His opinions have been recognised in the national press and he is the founder of NannyPaye.

Graham until recently employed a full-time nanny for his own two children and so has first hand experience of dealing with the day to day aspects of being an employer of a nanny.

In his free time Graham enjoys water sports (he has instructed sailing in his past) and likes walking his rescue dog called Percy.

Shelly joined NannyPaye in April 2006 after working for Carphone Warehouse for 5 years. Since working at NannyPaye Shelly has had two children of her own so has experienced Maternity Leave and nanny employment first hand.

When Automatic Enrolment Pensions started, Shelly was a huge part of the setup with NEST Pensions. She assisted Nest with the development of the Nest API system that links into payroll software across the country and as an Auto-Enrolment Pensions Expert was a huge part of the media campaign that surrounded the launch of Automatic Enrolment Pensions. Shelly was asked to present at the Nest Pensions media launch and to be interviewed on the prestigious BBC Radio One Today programme.

In May 2024 Shelly was successfully elected (with a landslide victory) as a Borough Councillor on Reigate and Banstead Council and so has dropped down to working Part-Time with NannyPaye to enable her to properly fulfil her duties on the Council.

In her free time, Shelly is a keen horse rider and competes in showing with her horse Buster.

Ross, as an Advanced Practitioner in Payroll and as Associate Member of the CIPP, brings a wealth of knowledge to the team that he heads up.

Ross manages the NannyPaye team, overseeing every aspect of your payroll experience with us and he is currently studying for his Foundation Degree in Payroll Management as well. He is often the person that new employers speak to as his extensive knowledge means that he can answer any question that you may have.

Ross is also our resident 'Excel Genius' and so he is always the person who the team rely on when they have a complex requirement with excel. With this extensive knowledge of excel, Ross was able to improve some of our checking procedures at NannyPaye.

In his free time, Ross enjoys outdoor pursuits such as hiking and camping and is an active volunteer with explorer scouts.

Sammie has been with NannyPaye since 2018, she is our super-efficient membership administrator, which means that she gets all new clients setup across our systems, opens HMRC accounts, chases for missing information and much much more.

Sammie likes to go to the gym - a lot! The rest of the NannyPaye team merely look on in admiration of her training. She will be running the Manchester marathon in April 2024 and so her training is currently in full steam ahead mode.

Beckie splits her time at NannyPaye between Payroll and Finance administration.

Beckie is currently studying for her ICB Bookkeeping level 4 and also boasts an impressive BSC in Construction Engineering Management, which, perhaps surprisingly, has many transferable assets to her workload here.

Beckie's role at NannyPaye is probably the most varied here. It consists partly of processing payroll and assisting with the training and development of new employees and partly of our own bookkeeping requirements (so it will be Beckie who ensures that any credit is transferred over to your new employee for you and sends your renewal letters to you) and she also oversees the running of our payments service NannyPaye Pro.

Beckie plays the guitar and sings in her free time as well as frequenting the local Vegan food markets.

Charlie came to us fresh out of Kings College University, after studying for his Undergradute degree in Mathematics in 2018.

Charlie went through our academy training in payroll before specialising in HMRC liaison for us. This means that Charlie works behind the scenes ensuring that any problems with HMRC are fixed promptly (sadly even in this digital age, HMRC still have lots of problems with the computer systems reading data incorrectly).

Charlie also spends his time running our in house data checks to ensure that we are bringing the highest level of service to our wonderful client base.

Outside of work, Charlie is an avid fan of video games and often his leave requests for holiday are timed around the release of a new video game.

Steph came to NannyPaye from another payroll bureau back in 2019. She had her CIPP foundation degree in payroll already so brought with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from working in another bureau.

Steph loves to spend time with her grandchildren and her rescue dog Colin, but it has to be local parks only for Colin as he gets car sick!

Most days in the NannyPaye office involve a photo of Colin doing something daft being shared around.

Our bubbliest member of the NannyPaye team, Sarah joined us in February 2021 and the office hasn't been the same since.

Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge to our team as an Associate Member of the CIPP and Payroll Practitioner (in disciplina). She also brings a wonderful sunny attitude, of nothing is too much, which is why she has fitted into our team so well. Clients have mentioned that it is hard not to smile when talking to Sarah on the phone.

Sarah is an avid baker in her spare time and we are often graced with various forms of cookies, cupcakes and brownies. She has also written several of her favourite recipes for our nannies to try (which can be found in our Nanny Members Area). Sarah is also quite partial to a cocktail or two at the weekends!

Prior to working at NannyPaye Thomas studied Ancient History at Nottingham University, he joined our team after first completing our academy training programme.

Thomas loves interacting with our client base, particularly on the phone and is a keen problem-solver in the office.

Thomas is loved in the office for his 'posh voice' and his 'cheeky chappy' personality.

He is a keen chess player (he even plays online chess in his lunch break) and he enjoys golf and snooker recreationally.

George joined NannyPaye after obtaining his degree in combined languages. George is fluent in Chinese, Italian and German and is able to assist any clients who find it easier to communicate with us in these languages. With our vast multinational client base, he has proven to be an exceptional asset to our team.

George joined us via our academy training programme and since becoming part of the team, George has found that he is especailly fond of investigating any discrepencies and solving them.

Outside of the office George enjoys painting and is also learning Swedish.

Theo underwent our academy training programme before commencing work with the team and hasn't looked back since.

His favourite job here is replying to incoming emails from clients and then actioning them. He is also particularly fond of sending the payroll out, there is something incredibly satisfying about pressing a button to send thousands of payslips out.

Theo likes to play Football with his team 'The Dorking Cobblers', although he tells us that his skill level is 'distinctly average'.

Chloe completed her degree in Anthropology at University before deciding to pursue a career more suited to her numerical fondness. She is planning to undergo our CIPP training programme to become a fully qualified Payroll Professional.

Chloe is most fond of doing manual calculations for tax and pensions, she particularly enjoys the satisfaction of finding the most tax efficient way of running a clients payroll for them (don't we all like to save money if we can!).

In her free time Chloe enjoys yoga and spending far too much time in bookshops, she also like to dog-sit for friends and family.

Chloe came to NannyPaye from a customer service role and after undergoing her training at the NannyPaye Academy she is now focusing on her foundation training here at NannyPaye before she undertakes her CIPP degree.

With a degree is Sports Science, Chloe was originally focused on her career as a member of the Chelsea Women's Football Development Team until an injury meant she could no longer play football. Chloe then decided to pursue her passion for numbers.

Her favourite role at NannyPaye so far is replying to client emails as this enables her to utilise her customer service skills.

Outside of the office, Chloe's favourite hobby is going to pub quizzes with her friends.

Andrew joined NannyPaye under our NannyPaye Academy Training. Andrew is training under Director Graham Newton to handle some of our more complex payroll requirements.

Andrew is a real ray of sunshine in the office, his bright cheery smile greets everyone each morning, regardless of whether his car has broken down that morning or not (Andrew's car famously broke down twice in his first week!).

His career at NannyPaye certainly started with a bang, when he blew up a plug socket in his first week here charging his phone with a cheap charger!

In his free time, Andrew loves walking his dog Bella and socialising with friends.
